Client problem setup file keep popping up

I have an issue using win xp. some of players can't run the client, everytime they run the exe client the setup file is always popping up.

I have no problems with this in terms of using windows 7, except in win xp most of my players are having that kind of problem.

Client used RagexeRE 2011 03 15a

anyone can help me with this?

Setup.exe runs when you open the client for the first time. If it keeps on popping out, it means it's not saving. Make sure you guys run the .exe as an administrator too. And patch your kRO and RagRE clients.

well as I said only "win xp users are having problems" as for win 7 they can run the client w/o problems.

For the setup, have you tried to click 'OK' instead of 'Cancel'? The client shows the setup only if it does not find initial config like graphics resolution. If that does not work, you might not be using an administrator account, which is required for saving the settings.

Since it's two different Operating Systems don't assume that your .exe will run the same with WinXP users. I'm trying to give you a solution based from experience. But if you refuse the help that's fine with me.

i solved mine by trying alot of version of setup.exe and come up to the right pair of setup.exe.. for 2011-11-22 i used the blue setup.exe.

you will know if its the right setup.exe by trying to change the resolution and run the client exe. when it uses the resolution you set then thats it.

Ah i see...so there's actually a lot of setup.exe versions? where do i get this? im using 2011-12-20bRagexeRE..i tried to patch and that's when i got the setup window loop..wonder if anyone can help me on this...

I'm also have problem with this 'Client' poping-up i'm using 201101315 or 2011-03-15 Client.

I have followed the instruction, Run as 'Admin' but its still Poping UP. that's why until now i just use the Client of Rathena Basic Client.exe

Any solution for this?

Was gotting the same problem two days ago ! Just change the client for the good one and there we are

I searched on many post without solving my problem.

- I tried Blue Setup.exe and the problem persist, my clients are opening "Blue Setup" non-stop;

- I tried with and without the "fix hklm to hkcu" and it change nothing;

- I'm using 2012-02-14 client with the last ShinsDiffPatcher;

- I tried many others setup.exe without result.

the only thing i can think of is permissions problem, make sure you dont have any other setups that may be conflicting with it, is this a clean ragnarok installed folder as well.

A way to find out is donwload a complete fresh one

and then patch it up to date, and see if that stops the setup repeating

i doubt that. im using windows 7 64bit

i tried the following client...

*2011-03-15a

*2011-11-02a

*2011-11-22a

the setup.exe is fine with 03-15, but the problem occurs with 11-02, and 11-22

i tried 4 different types of setup.exe already. and patch my client with "hklm to hkcu" diff, using this can cause setup.exe popping out for me. but with or without this i cant change the 11-02 and 11-22's resolution anything from 640x???

setup$.exe is the file i use for 2011-03-15a.
