Custom Map Adding Error

Good day to all,

Can i ask what seems to be the problem on this one?

Lately on my first attempt on adding Custom Map it was successfully, afterwards when i change the name of the map it suddenly i countered this error.

i already change the file name from map_index.txt map_athena, even on the client side.

Please help on this one..

i mean i change the file name only from pvparena to jarena. I also change it inside map_athena, map_index including inside grf

If you changed the map name by right-clicking -> Rename -> and gave it something new, that won't work. Only BrowEdit and other 3rd party programs can rename maps.

ow i see ok i'll try to check the BrowEdit. Can you recommend best 3rd party programs for maps?

Sir @Cyro did you know how what is the problem of my other map the terrain became black..

the map files work together so when you edit/rename one of the files you will lose information

the .gat file defined the cells in the map (Walk-able/unWalk-able/other kinds)

the .gnd file defined the texture and photos in the map (without it the map will turn dark that if it work first)

the .rsw file is the 3D view and the 3D models for the map

i would suggest you don't rename anymap

you can duplicate a map >> search in the forum you will find how

BTW the best map program is BrowEdit that if there is else lol

So basically we can't rename the map by right click>Rename UNLESS we rename it on the program named BrowEdit?
