Separated database

I have a webhosting at LA.

I have a ro server at Asia.

What will happen in I put my ro database at my webhosting ?

Is that recommended? 

It will cause lag ?

i don't think it's recommended if there is high ping between them
i think it will work but i can only imagine what would happen cuz the ping

for start think about the login time this is the first what came up of my head XD

Agree..  and first thing come in my mind... by doing so.. seems to be no different by hosting the server itself at LA.. coz got the same result.. the player will experience delay as high ping time..

But our server will be in Asia. Only the database for saving at LA. You think it will affected?

you server files will be reading database entries, if you have more sql based scripts it will have some effect for sure,
