The Signe Quest Time Zone

Question

Posted (edited)

Hi guys!
How can i set the Time Zone of "The Signe QUest" in BR server's?

OnInit:
// Remove old depreciated settings.
set $signbmps,0;
set $signmazemonster,0;

// Set the time zone of the server.
// - Not official but seemed like a nice way to handle it.
set $timezonestring$,"^FF0000GMT^000000";
end;

My server is running on "GMT-3". Can i change the default to this?

I don't really think you have to because if you browse through the code you'll see something like "gettime()"

and the functions description says:

gettime(<type>)

This function will return specified information about the current system time.

1 - Seconds (of a minute)
2 - Minutes (of an hour)
3 - Hour (of a day)
4 - Week day (0 for Sunday, 6 is Saturday)
5 - Day of the month.
6 - Number of the month.
7 - Year.
8 - Day of the year.

If you have a VPS you cant change your server time, only if you are paying a dedicated server.

Im not sure, but i think that this script is checking your server time, so if you want to set it to BR, talk with your host to change the Time Zone.

if that's the case then he can just find and replace all "gettime(3)" function calls and replace them with "(gettime(3)-3)"

that's if the servertime is @ GMT+0.

if you have root access to your VPS, you can alter the timezone of your VPS.

if you are not authorized to do so, contact your host.

adjust using the gettime - 3 isnt an ideal way to do this....

I was assuming he doesn't have any root access :)
