Client closes instantly

Hi i have spent the last few days attempting to get a client to work at all, started with a lot of errors and i have followed countless tutorials trying to get it al working.

I no longer see any errors but my client has a white screen and closes almost instantly after i use the Loki Launcher.

No idea what is going on, some old posts hint toward drivers and making sure the setup stuff is filled out and this all seems to be fine, i have tried almost every setup configuration i can.

I am getting to the point of giving up, if anyone has any last ideas please help. or better yet if anyone has a basic client they are willing to share that would be great too.

check your diff,

if patched with Restore Login Window no need with launcher

i wasnt using Restore Login Window but i made a new exe with it enabled but i still have the same problem

what version of client are you using? are you using nemo on diffing?

Mine isn't working either. Won't even launch. Even with Loki launcher. 2013-08-07a. Used xdiff to patch.

Try with NEMO instead. Also using 2013-08-07 and I have no issues at all.

Guys, it is fixed?

 

I got the same error, only the white window did not appear and went straight to crash window.

 

I'm using 2013-08-07a and Nemo to diff it. I'm running it in Win 7

 

Anyone can guide me here? I'm a bit new here when setting up client

To the others, have you recompiled? Clean build then build?

If you did that, what options would you like, I can diff a client or use my client and send it to you if everything still fails.

its not even related to the server. cuz client wont even launch to have time to connect to the server. its client-windows8 compatibility. for some reason it works for others and some it just dont. D; i wish we could get answers. D:

I'm really curious to if you ever resolved this issue.  I've been going through the exact same thing for the last couple days and have tried countless diff options with Diff Patcher and Nemo, Loki and Rolex, unpatched clients from dates ranging 2012-04 to 2013-12 and patched clients, complete different data folder translations or no translations, updated and not update brand new kRo installations.  The client crashes every single time it opens no matter what.  But I've loaded and played on almost 20 different private servers in the past couple weeks that launched and played fine.  I'm at a loss for this one.

Kindly post your solution for others. Got a feeling it's related to the bugged skin folder that most people seem to have issues with lately.

Yah I'm working on compiling a guide now to post that is literally just resolved around this issue!

 

Just trying to confirm that after updating and modifying a few things it is still working.

RMS kRO works well with win8.

NickyZai kRO doesnt. For some reason i dont know, it just dont.
