I'm using december 17 4d5fc9604cea533f7d927dd41526bbbad3c800b2 revision.

For the most part, it's been very stable.

I would recommend updating to client 2013-08-7a. There's no reason to use such an old client any more.

Nearly everything you need is here:

https://rathena.org/board/topic/82726-2013-ragexe-and-diff-up-to-date-2013-08-07/

And here:

https://rathena.org/board/topic/66962-basic-complete-renewal-data-english-folder/

From these two, along with official updated kRO installation, you can create a very stable client.

the next most stable for me is 20120410 you could try that.
but i think 2010 client is still working on the latest rA. did you config your mmo.h and packet db?

just make sure you have the compatible LUB files for the client you going to use.

these are the clients that I have tried in the past without having any issues.

  • 2010-07-30
  • 2012-04-10
  • 2012-06-18
  • 2013-12-23 (currently using this)

It's proving to me more of Client-side support. I'll move it accordingly.

@GM Kinko, client-side is often frustrating, as it doesn't give you much options to debug it unlike server.

However, you can follow this general guidelines when choosing a client;

  • What features do you need? Older clients support less features.
  • Is this client supported by your emulator? By default rAthena recommends 2014-04-10 or 2013-08-07.
  • Find the correct LUA files to be used with your chosen client version. This is really important, as most of problems are caused by incompatible lua/lub files.
  • When diffing, choosing less diff options first would be ideal. Then add other diff options one by one, tests should be done.
