There's no need to do such script, as Emistry said. eathena > conf > char_athena.conf Just change the values...should be like this // Maximum users able to connect to the server. Since admins are 99 they will still not be able to connect, nor any other lower gms.

Just a quick note here, just noticed that once you're that X level that you're restricting from gaining EXP you're also not getting EXP when trying to leveling your guild. Actually I just tested this yesterday and turned out that I had to turn @main on first in order to use @trading. Not sure if you guys are getting the same problem. I even checked the codes 3 times, everything seem'd to be fine.

I'd suggest you to create minigames, like poring catcher or things alike, and everytime you need a script, TRY to make your own instead of using one from eA or any other related website. That helped me a lot when I started, and now ..I'm pretty good.

There are already moderators for that; Admins, Global Mods, Scripting Mods, etc..And I agree that simple scripts shouldn't be allowed, but since there aren't much scripts right now, anything would help for starters.

I know it sounds awkward, why would you add a word or a few letters instead of a single character, but I would like to clear my doubt and also learn how to do it. What I basically wanted to do is add 'cmd ' as a secondary command symbol (Which would actually be a string in this case). usage example: cmd warp prontera 100 100 It would be the same as typing.. @warp prontera 100 100 The cmd has a space after it though, not sure if it's possible. cmd+space+command

I don't care about that. As I said before, this thread is to discuss if we should link DivineRO to eA or not. We were comparing DRO with the old Spanish section. And I wasn't talking about myself, but about the former Spanish mods. If your section gets closed, you will find another forum where you will be able to contribute and even be promoted to moderator there (I explained this based on what happened to me when RUNE closed). Have I explained myself? You have explained yourself already, eversince your first posts that you made, I just want to clear some points in this last one; I don't think that I have been talking in this thread without giving real reasons, I don't think there was no reason of why you included me into what Ziu has been saying, I'm not defending him or anyone. No one is denying DivineRO is indeed a great community. And no one is also saying you haven't contribute to the communities related to eAthena. You might want to read this again: This didn't make any sense at all. "DivineRO needs a good host, but the current isn't free so don't complain about ads?" o_O Oh come on...Give me a break. And you're saying that it's me the one that have been ignoring what you've been saying. You might as well read this: Thanks for that. Also note that feeling comfortable in eA, doesn't mean I'm complaining about the ads of D-RO, I was just saying what could also be annoying for other users.

I'd kind of have to disagree; Not everyone likes the forum version that DivineRO uses, not to mention the ads that it has in everysingle thread, and forum's main page. As I stated, comfort is something not many forums have and eA was definitely one of them (that has I mean). First of all Jman speaks English. Even if he puts all his efforts, he can't manage a Spanish section. He doesn't have time as well I guess, and obviously it's not the administrator's task. He can recreate the English community, but can't get the Spanish section active. We were 6 mods there, and we decided in the past to make changes in the section and increase the activity, and we had no luck at all. Now we have just an active mod (and I'm sure he's not expert in all RO fields to give complete support) and a dead Spanish community. Most Spanish users in eA doesn't even use that section (I don't use it for example). In all honesty, I don't want to see another dead section that nobody uses. I recommended DivineRO because they have a good staff, a nice admin, an active community, a constant support and a huge collection of guides for eA, scripting, mapping, spriting, etc. The old Spanish forums had many years to show some activity and it failed, I don't think we should give it another try because two or three people think it's wrong (I can also send this thread to all the Spanish active developers and let them share their view on this as well, and you will notice it's not only my opinion). Of course it's the staff task to keep a forum running well and keep the community alive. First of all, you don't have to speak/write/type a certain language to deal with another organization or community, both can just talk in english and deal with whatever that can be done to satisfy both organizations/communities. It's just called making deals, and I'm pretty sure Jguy knows what I'm talking about or what I refer to. Well as Jguy said, it was actually just you who stated that and no one else, even people that aren't even latins are here defending our point of view. If that's what they think, then, how lame and dissapointing that is. They're spanishs for god's sake. And so are you. Of course there was no activity, mods weren't doing anything (nor active), old eAthena was pretty dead itself already, the reason of why also spanish people weren't posting or creating, releasing, eAthena didn't update anything, they didn't care at all, I mean you have to give it a touch to the forums as well; Now...There can be some kind of deal with DivineRagnarokOnline Forums, let's say, why not just let both of our communities share their stuff in your forum and my forum, advertise in both, that way, people from both boards will be sharing information without having that kind of exclusivity or competence. Just like: I'll redirect my users to your boards if they can't find the information they're searching for, if you do the same. and not just with divine, might as well deal with other boards, I don't know what you guys think, since of course, I don't own a board as big as this one, nor this kind of community. @Jguy: I know that you're not trying to disagree with us, we know you're doing what is best for this boards but if you compare old eAthena forums sections to another forum, I mean let's face it, eAthena has been dead itself for quite some months already. Z3R0 +1 When I was reading this thread [ http://eathena.net/b...uguese-support/ ] some hours ago I found it quite ridiculous, how are you going to redirect someone that's in our forums, using our version, to a completely different one, I mean of course it makes sense what Z3R0 said; And I will quote it here again: And specially I think you are wrong. I left the Spanish forum when I was an International mod (since it was dead), but I didn't left eA. And you say Spanish moderatorS, but the only moderator I see here is darkmeister, because others seem to be inactive. I'd also like to say that almost all Spanish Mods have been inactive for long time. In DivineRO, staff is pretty nice managed, and you get fired if you aren't active/don't support/don't contribute. My two cents. Of course the others are unactive, they've been in eA for too long, everything has its time, not everyone makes till the end, but anyways, YES darkmeister is here, but tell me now, what is he doing as an international mod? when there's not even a international support forum aside the 'Filipino' one. (Also I'd like to add here that no one's judging DivineRO as a community, i'm just sharing what it could work better for eA). Besides, we're recreating a new community, it doesn't have to forcely be the same staff that it was in the old eA, what we want is for this to work, and run as it should, and not try to slow things down.

I'd also have to disagree with the decision that was taken, I definitely think a Spanish Forum should be part of this community. - Comfort that we all have in eAthena. - Not everyone feels like also registering in another forum. - The Spanish-moderators that were in the old eA might as well loose their roll as part of the community. - It is definitely and it has been proven that the more variaty of sites with ' X ' information is the best way to compile and generate new information. I'm sure there might be some more, but well, let's not go through that. The best option might be. To add the Spanish Forum and as well in the sub-forum you might add a Redirect to DivineRagnarokOnline forums (as a, if this information is not enough, you might as well look here -> link).
