Yes, that is normal if your client is too old. Updated to 2.4.7, undoes settings removal in 2.4.5, improves performance and stability, and adds support for idRO (region-locked). There is also some more stuff to read in the doc/ folder. Updated to 2.4.8, adds support for ASLR and DEP, improves kRO mirror balancing and the GRF repacking scenario. I cannot do anything against people installing a malicious anti-virus on their computers. There is no virus or something like that in ROCred (well maybe the /embed functionality might be the cause). BTNCLOSE works fine for me this way:

You cannot use the official GRF without re-compressing it after every update, if the cps.dll does not support zlib; unless you can force Gravity to ship patches with lzma compression.

I would not mark it as "tool", if the board had let me (but it did not). Yes, any effect that is displayed from a .str file can be changed. There are various effects that are hard-coded in the client source (such as heal) and as such are not affected by this. And yes, this is done with a hook.

The database does not impose any limits in that regard, so the chances are high. The primary goal of the request was adding /mineffect versions of existing effects, though.

Well, "Win32:Evo-gen [susp]" refers to generic download application, I would understand that, when you had that with RO Patcher Lite itself, since that one matches the profile perfectly. For Avast! to accuse rsumerge of evil is a great misstep. Anyways, all I can offer you is a beta version of rsumerge (AV report).
