  1. Hi VerCiniX, Perhaps your friend is running the wrong clientinfo.xml and is connecting to the wrong place. If your ports are opened, and you can connect to your own server using your WAN IP in the clientinfo.xml; then your server is public.
  2. Hi Raijin, Show us the results of './configure'.
  3. Hi DeadlySilence, Well if we're talking about absolute minimums; then wouldn't be Debian/CentOS be the smarter choice?
  4. Hi Raijin, I would recommend either Debian or CentOS. I honestly, can not recommend 64bit over 32bit; since running an emulator requires ~350mb of RAM. 64bit processes usually require more RAM to run, and you don't even need 2GB of RAM to support 500+ players. So unless you're intending to run a huge server with more than 1k users; then go for 64bit, otherwise I'd recommend 32bit. Debian as an OS; requires less RAM since it's real barebone. CentOS is like a free version of RHEL; which is an enterprise-grade OS (not free, and not cheap at all), and it has basically almost everything that RHEL has. Extra Note - Slackware is like Ubuntu... can't recommend it. It install unnecessary things.
  5. Hi rafoka, This should explain it; http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/linux-unix-osx-bsd-windows-0-0-0-0-network-address/
  6. Hi rafoka, Maybe try using 0.0.0.0 as the IP? To be honest, I'm not sure if listening to multiple interfaces is even possible; but 0.0.0.0 *should* allow it to listen to all IP's/interfaces.
  7. Hi rosfus, If you are a client of ours; then submit a support ticket on our website. If you are not a client, then don't ask me to provide you with support. I only provide help on my free time, on topics which I am familiar with; I will not be ordered by anyone to provide support for them.
  8. Hi leertaste, No, I will not help you via Skype; ask a support staff or something. I only provide help on my free time. Good luck with your problem.
  9. Hi leertaste. XAMPP should work fine, as long as you have a MySQL server. If you're simply using Apache on windows, then I suggest you download, install, and set up MySQL.
  10. Hi Cold, They removed the *_sql at the end of map/char/login, so try running "login-server" instead.
  11. Hi leertaste, You need to have a MySQL database which hosts your RO database first. If you don't set up your MySQL server, FluxCP can not be installed to it.
  12. i cant use use the Reset Position at the FluxCP Hi Yoona, I believe Chocolate is saying that FluxCP requires those tables to be imported in order to be fully functional.
  13. Hi mysthiq, I'm not even sure if this would work; but trying using... ipkg install zlib-devel or ipkg install zlib-dev

    LAG ISSUE

    Hi Z e r o, To sum it up; it can only be 4 things... 1. Network/Host 2. Client Version/Client-based Lag 3. Poor scripts which cause issues/Poor source modifications 4. Player's computer
  15. Hi Mentalist, That guide is for users who have a cPanel-based webhost. If you are manually hosting a webserver on a VPS/Dedicated service, then it's different. What webserver did you install? Did you install PHP? Did you install the PHP modules required to run FluxCP? Your assessment of "i didn't get anything", does not help us figure out what your issue is. Is there no error messages at all? Did you check your webserver's error log? Is only a blank white page showing?
  16. Hi mysthiq, Did you try; ipkg install zlib
  17. Hi mysthiq, You could try compiling with this command... ./configure --with-zlib=/usr/local/lib
  18. Hi c e d i e, It means the link to go to visit your FluxCP.
  19. Hi ayennnnnnn, Use XAMPP to set up Apache/MySQL on your computer; http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-windows.html Portforward port 80 on your router using the guides available @ http://www.portfoward.com Then go to http://www.noip.com/ to set up an account and download the software I'm sure you can find some guides already made here on rAthena; just use the search function.
  20. Hi VerCiniX, Call your internet provider; ask them to open it from their end.
  21. Hi ayennnnnnn, You need to set up fluxcp on your computer with apache first. No-ip only provides you with a sub-domain to link to your computer's dynamic WAN IP.
  22. Hi VerCiniX, What were the results of the test for the ports? Did it say it was opened properly?
  23. Hi VerCiniX, If that's not it, then that means your internet provider has blocked the ports on their end.
  24. Hi TheFinalEpisode, 'stable' branch has been gone for a while, it's been 'trunk'. Also, those are pre-compiled releases; quite out-dated considering we are already at revision 17516. Maybe you should get the latest files, and compile from that instead?
  25. Hi c e d i e, The real question is; should you even be paying for a host if you have no idea what to do? If you have just recently took an interest in developing a RO server; maybe as a starter, you should learn how to run the Athena emulator on your own computer first. Then maybe you have an idea what you should be doing yourself, instead of asking people what you should be doing.
