+1 to this, I only disagree to the ditching of mob_db,mob_db2,item_db,item_db2 text coz I dont want to expose the Item and Mob database that the server use in the website or in the CP. If the mob_db,mob_db2,item_db,item_db2 will be move to a separate database then I agree of ditching the text.

If we go with Option 2 (convert all databases to SQL) option 1 or 2, anything where there is more than 4 item/mob tables, I vote for a 3rd database connection/config. Then people can have 3 SQL databases setup like: rAthena database (item, mob, mob_skill, pet, produce_db, etc..) player data (all the tables currently in main.sql, except log tables) logs database (all the tables currently in logs.sql, plus charlog and interlog)

Bossnia Event This is an eAthena conversion of the Aegis file from bRO. Thanks to Muad_Dib for the file. The text is translated from Portuguese, so it might be a tad weird from time to time (no clue what "Ali" is supposed to be for, for example). Well, Bossnia is basically a pretty simple event. There are a couple of NPCs spread around RO which warp you to one out of four places for 5000 zeny. So what to do in the maps? Kill MVPs, that's about it. I think they simply put just about every MVP ingame on that map for you to kill. The four maps are exactly the same, with exactly the same monsters in them. Well, I would find it to be time to change the atcommand or GM system. So you actually group Users and not give them levels and like this you can better handle giving out atcommands and create a hierarchie which is not just drop-down. So the admin for example has all rights. He then creates a group called EventGM. Those have certain commands. Then he created a group called SupportGM. They have completly different commands, but they are not considered 'lower'. Also, EventGMs don't automatically have the commands of SupportGMs and so on. This system was once introduced on eAthena as MOD and I think if someone could provide a fully working system for rAthena it should replace the old system officially. Who's in?

DB folder is a config. Nothing is written to it at runtime, so it's not a real database.

I concur with Brian's post. Keep text databases for game stuff and deprecate all others. I can't talk for anyone else, but in the past I definitely preferred editing plain text for mob and item databases while keeping accounts and such in SQL. It just seems like a lot of hassle given how frequently variables might be changed adjusting statistics.

I was wondering if you can move the text a few pixels to the right and align it to the logo since I'm on my phone a lot. And the letters are on the edge of the page. Though KeiKun thinks it's stupid to use your phone while viewing sites w/o a mobile theme, I didn't think so. Since I'm always on my phone and on the goooo.

Option 2 .... it's time we got rid of txt once and for all. Honestly, I thought this was done years ago. Did you just never finish the job?

I would suggest option 3. Most of the people out there are already comfortable with text database. Option 3 you are also free to choose between text or sql database, its just a matter of free will.
