If it's free to play and still online why not simply download their client and extract the map from their GRF? ;)

Or try to find the person who created the map and if its a paid map buy it.

I really hate seeing people say stuff like 'extract it from the grf'

That might have been paid work.  :|

I don't agree with the whole extract it from their GRF idea either.

But nowadays, I see it as the admin's fault for not having some sort of encryption, especially for paid maps / sprites / etc.

There are tools that can aid with such task, one excellent example is Tokeiburu's GRF Editor. It's sad though, but that's how it is.

Since we use Gravity's maps, arts, sprites, music on every server, I think saying that grf extraction is from the satan is pretty invalid. But this is a question of philosophy. I prefer creating things for free for projects like rA. Btw I'm not sure if it's possible to encrypt things. Afaik, grf can be encrypted, but it's as secure as a do not enter sign.

@CC Geez, that centered text makes my eyes bleed :D

Please avoid posting, and (or) asking for links of private servers on this section.

On-topic, Harmony's file encryption has been reliable to me, and really the only reason left to justify the use of Harmony.
