Hello rAthena... need help on how to fix this

clarifying:

 

I don't know if there's VB2012 or not, but as I know, the most popular rA compiler is called Ms. Visual STUDIO. it has the version of 2010 and 2012. if you're using Windows 7, I recommend you to use VS2010 and open the rathena-10.sln and do the compilation

that's Visual studio 2012, not VisualBasic 2012.

you must compile the "rAthena-12.sln" no the rAthena-10.sln for compile rAthena-12.sln you havet o download the visual basic 2012

but i got the same problem and i solved using visualbasic 13 for compile  the rathena-13.sln.. .-.

Since rAthena is not a Windows 8 native application (just a regular exe), then I suggest you to use Visual Studio 2010 and open rAthena10.sln

Hello, try turn off your anti-virus and re-build again. Works for me. Good lucky
