So all the weapon types were designed to be within certain item id ranges - it is a client limitation. You can find the list in my signature. Are you using eAthena or rAthena? It's not a problem with your SVN. It's the client behavior. If you're using an old client (or xray) you will probably have lots of difficulty with this.
