Custom Book/Manual

I'm trying to make a custom book, i've already uploaded my own sprite and i can see the book in-game. After that, I wrote the contents for the book and put it in data/book/itemid.txt. Now I'm stuck on my next step. I need my custom item to show the "Read" "Auto Read" icons when I right click it (like biochemist creation manuals). How can i do that?

I guess it is supposed to show those buttons after doing what you've done... Have you tested it in-game?

yes, i already have the item in-game and patched the client for the book contents. If there's no additional step then i guess it's because of the item id? There might be a limit to the id we can use for the books. That's just me guessing, I don't know if that's really the case.

if i am not mistaken...you need a file named

bookresnametable.txt

it's inside the data folder... the OLD 1....not the latest 1 since it's not included anymore...and some other files...

lol, so that's what i'm missing. thanks a bunch, i'll start working on it.

 

update: extracted the file from my kro grf and it works now.
