Hi everybody,

i'm starting a rAthena server of RO and i setted up everything, made the grf file and downloaded the ragray folder, but with the ragexe i found (i diffed it by my own) i can't launch the game.

With one exe it says me just "????" and with the second one it opens me the ragnarok setup and when i close it, it will re-open forever..

how to solve this problem?

you can't diff the ragexe from the ragray. if you want to diff your own client. you should get the client here. http://rathena.org/board/topic/61483-ragexere-clients/

and diff it on your own. and also better to use the miruku client. because ragray is an outdated client. you'll get sprite error on that. since rathena uses some latest kro features.

you must change your setup.exe if you use 2011 or greater client. there is already a topic regarding on that issue. better to use search engine for that.

the problem is on the setup that you are using. if you use latest client. you should use the blue ghost setup.exe if you use old client you also need to use the old one.

ok, i'm downloading it and let you know. By the way for setup rAthena and make the client and the grf i followed instruction from this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f06EBENhV84&feature=relmfu and used shin diff patcher, i hope i did right. thank you for your help.

I ask you something more, do you know if there is any section of this forum with italian translations?

Ok, i download & patched the Mikuru RORE folder, it is on my desktop, the rAthena folder is in c://

i put myGRF and myEXE in the miruku folder, then i execute the runserversql.bat (everything ok and the server is just waiting the client to play) and i execute myEXE file, it opens the ghost setup, i press on ok and the client open the game, i show you the 2 message before it close automatically:

First message when the client open scaled.php?server=705&filename=nomsg.jpg&res=landing

Second message when i try to put user & password scaled.php?server=803&filename=nomsgin.jpg&res=landing

make sure your client read the GRF and not the Data Folder...

make sure it read LUB files and NOT LUA files...

make sure your DATA.ini file setting is correct.

I checked ipconfig again on cmq.exe and made sure the my subnet.conf is correct with "net-submask:char_ip:map_ip"

checked inside char e map if ip are correct, the strange thing it's that it recognize the password, then it works but i can't access to the character selection menù

the problem is on your clientinfo.xml. he doesn't have it. all the ragre client uses clientinfo.xml except you hex your client and change the clientinfo.xml

read this 1st. http://rathena.org/wiki/Clientinfo.xml

it seems the login server reads his request but doesn't go through. do not use your WAN ip on your clientinfo.xml. I don't think a loopback function exists. Instead use your local ip eitherin lan or the local 127xxxxx
