open terminal from your trunk folder then execute

svn update

Make sure you backup the trunk folder to revert changes whenver you change your mind/update fails.

Make sure you backup the trunk folder to revert changes whenver you change your mind/update fails.

Is it okay to update my svn even my server is running?

Possibly, possibly not. You should already have a working copy of the SVN just sitting on your desktop, update that working copy, then upload the edited files into your server. Certain files that are changed can be reloaded by using the reload commands and other files such as source changes require you to shut your server off.
