HELP?

i have a player that has too many IP's....he ruining my server....what should i do?

Simple answer - Harmony. It comes with MAC Banning. Id look into it.

it cost too much....but sir.. if i try...

for example, doing this...

because i saw his IP's ranging from this 2...

180.194.*.*

i tried adding it to ipbanlist im my sql...will the other players can be affected?

isn't ip ban found in SQL?

it works fine too

i banned my self and i got banned pretty good~

Banning that sort of range would cover quite a bit of IPs which will probably do it but I would consult tracking your players and seeing where the majority of them are coming from or else you can potentially ban a large portion of them accidentally.

The reason that your IP ban is not working is that the banned player would just turn their modem off and turn it on again to get a new IP address(For short Dynamic IP Address). :)

180.194.*.* <<< right? or i can order my gm's to continue banning him...

he will just waste his time turning his modemn on and off.

To find out if any other players are connecting from that range of IP addresses, run this SQL query:

SELECT * FROM login WHERE last_ip LIKE '180.194.%';
