Some BGM don't play

Question

Posted

Hello everyone !

When I'm in game, some BackGround Music don't play...everyone upper than 90 I think so !

I added a custom music without problem, but maps with normals BGM upper than 90 just don't play.

Can I add a "maximum BGM" somewhere ?

Thanks alot !

You should have BGMs up to 155 which is Eclage regardless (If you've patched kRO+kRE). There's no such thing as "Maximum BGM" anywhere for the server. Check your BGM folder and make sure you have BGMs up to 155.

I have 145 BGM.

The 3 last one are my customs and working, but number (officials) after 90 don't work (I can listen them with a software, but not in game).

Make sure each BGM has a bit rate of 128 kbps. You can use Goldwave/Audacity/MP3 Bitrate Converter (easy to use) to make the changes. Also make sure that the mp3nametable is up to date.

Note: Gravity BGM's shouldn't be an issue but make sure to check your mp3nametable first.

Well, I just verify and finally, the only BGMs who do not work are the "129" and "130" :

jupe_core2.rsw#bgm89.mp3#

[email protected]#bgm129.mp3#

[email protected]#bgm130.mp3#

nyd_dun01.rsw#bgm129.mp3#

nyd_dun02.rsw#bgm129.mp3#

manuk.rsw#bgm131.mp3#

They are by default in the BGM folder and I didn't edit them...

[but, I want these song...help?]

Its not just speed but also the quality scale the RO client reads. The RO Client itself is quite specific when it comes to readable mp3s. I dont know why it doesnt work but you can always give it a shot and see if that changes something. You never know ;o

Do you have another GRF taking priority over another that might have an edited mp3nametable that doesnt have the included 129 and 130 songs? If that mp3nametable is loaded first it, regardless if a 2nd is loaded with the proper mp3 setups the 1st one will be read.
