Sorry if the registration Captcha was too hard.

If you know of anyone having issues, make sure they know it's case sensitive.

Edit: sorry, we can't use reCAPTCHA because Sourceforge does not allow outbound connections from their project web hosting

Thanks for the feedback.

For now, I turned of the GD Captcha and enabled Question & Answer instead.

I also submitted a ticket to Sourceforge asking if they would consider allowing outgoing connections to reCAPTCHA. If that doesn't work out, I'll look into editing the captcha-generating PHP file to make it less impossible.

Hmm that's good, but i think we don't need captcha if we use the "email confirmation" for account registration.

Email confirmations wont stop spam bots at all, the accounts would be confirmed in no time. Using no kind of captcha at all would be like directly opening the door for spam bots and allowing them to spam.

I also submitted a ticket to Sourceforge asking if they would consider allowing outgoing connections to reCAPTCHA.

Their response:

Hello,

We are aware of the demand for that, but there are no plans to change this behavior at this time. If this is important to you, I recommend you utilize the IdeaTorrent to make your opinion known.

Regards,

Chris Tsai, SourceForge.net Support

- Idea #880: Allow outbound connections to certain sites.

I left the "Hosted by" logo because we are still using SourceForge to host our SVN.

Plus I wanted to show some support! (and link people to the RAthena SF project page) ;)
