Where do I find the files and folders of the scripts installed on my server?

I am finding all of these tutorials on how to script custom NPC's and other fun things, but they all lack the description of where im suppose to find these files/folders that im to edit. 

Please advise any help would be amazing!

athena-master\npc\custom\ = all custom npc files

Athena-Master = rAthena

if you have rathena you would already have those folders but they are not enabled you just need to add them on your server
