I tstill shows korean buttons and characters like á é í ó ú doesn't show. I checked this thing: And the rest of the patchers are in the following spoiler: @ Bug Fix allow space in guild name always call selectkoreaclientinfo() disable 1rag1 type parameters disable hshield disable help message on login disable nagle algorithm disable ragexe filenamecheck enable /showname enable 64k hairstyle enable DNS support enable mailbox for all langtypes enable monstertables enable mltiple grfs enable title bar menu enforce official login background fix camere angles ignore missions palette error ignore resource errors increase zoom out 50% only first login backgroundpacket first, second and third key encryption read msgstringtable.txt read questid2display.txt remove gravity ads remove gravity logo remove hourly announce remove serial display restore login window skin license screen translate client use ascii on all langtypes use normal guild brackets use plain text descriptions use ragnarok icon use tilde for mtatk Now, im facing this error. I fixed the old one which was the strings by changing the client from a 2013 one to a 2014 one. Everything but the skin is in english. I really wanna know Whyyy! my .grfs load pretty well, i have read on the forums that this may happen when my client doesnt supports ascii characters, but i alkready checked that option. What should i do?

But i belive that's because my langtype. You must diff your client with the option "Ascii & Arial on All Langtypes" Hope it helps scribbling kid.rar

Ill go into my pc in a couple hours to see if it works. But i wonder if those weird strings will be fixed. Also, as you can see, the inventory is so big because string problems i suppose, not sure how to fix. I already diffed my client with that option, but it is still not working. I'll try using another differ to see if it changes. EDIT: There's some Strings that aren't showing properly. Such as the "Possible escape area" from the service select screen (There's an image on the original post) Also, in the window where you put on the guild name it shows "This character is not Online". Also, in the Inventory windows... well, they are so damn big, just look at the iages on the spoiler. Now, for the 'á, é, í, ó, ú' and especial characters, yes, the option you chose is what I meant, so you may use langtype 0, just to troubleshooting. And for the ridiculously big inventory screen and such, I suggest you to download your kRO again, that usually is the solution for those "bugs". Im using the github ROclientside translation, lastest version. I thought it was fully translated. My langtype is "chile" and it is supposed to have those characters. I'll try with different langtypes

Or if you've downloaded the latest translation, make sure you've properly placed them in their correct folder. If your system locale cannot read Korean characters, make sure the folder names are in gibberish version.

If your system locale cannot read Korean characters, make sure the folder names are in gibberish version. They are in fact in the correct folder. I've been reading problems like this, all they say about the solution is that i need to enable ascii on all langtypes on my client, thing that i already did, but looks like it isn't working (They say that this patch may do the thing, since it will read ascii characters over korean ones). My Locale is set to Japanese, i can read korean characters as far as i know. I'm not sure if this is the problem, Im not sufe it this is causing me to not being able to use the acsii on all langtypes hex edit, or maybe it's nemo. I already tried with other diff patchers, like xdiff, but no luck yet. I really want to see "áéíóú" because my server's in spanish. Also, is there an option in rathena where i can enable those characters? Not for the names, but for the Npc chat.

Try this on your clientinfo.xml <?xml version="1.0" encoding="euc-kr" ?> <clientinfo> <servicetype>korea</servicetype> <servertype>sakray</servertype> <connection> <display>ServerName</display> <desc>Ragnarok</desc> <balloon>ServerNameBalloon</balloon> <address>127.0.0.1</address> <port>6900</port> <version>45</version> <langtype>0</langtype> <registrationweb></registrationweb> <aid> <admin></admin> <yellow></yellow> </aid> </connection> </clientinfo> You should use langtype 0, I had the same problem, and fixed it doing that (I'm also from Chile) And again for your unstranlated skin options, you should use a translated one

Instead you will get either ? or korean signs while trying to type them. I would recommend langtype 1 which is america. That should fix your issue Please note that on langtype 1 however your guild tip "help" information window won't show any information anymore. If anyone knows how to solve that problem, please let me know. +-----+------------------------+-------------------+ | int | enum SERVICETYPE | "servicetype" tag | +-----+------------------------+-------------------+ | 0 | SERVICETYPE_KOREA | korea | | 1 | SERVICETYPE_AMERICA | america | | 2 | SERVICETYPE_JAPAN | japan | | 3 | SERVICETYPE_CHINA | china | | 4 | SERVICETYPE_TAIWAN | taiwan | | 5 | SERVICETYPE_THAI | thai | | 6 | SERVICETYPE_INDONESIA | indonesia | | 7 | SERVICETYPE_PHILIPPINE | philippine | | 8 | SERVICETYPE_MALAYSIA | malaysia | | 9 | SERVICETYPE_SINGAPORE | singapore | | 10 | SERVICETYPE_GERMANY | germany | | 11 | SERVICETYPE_INDIA | india | | 12 | SERVICETYPE_BRAZIL | brazil | | 13 | SERVICETYPE_AUSTRALIA | australia | | 14 | SERVICETYPE_RUSSIA | russia | | 15 | SERVICETYPE_VIETNAM | vietnam | | 17 | SERVICETYPE_CHILE | chile | | 18 | SERVICETYPE_FRANCE | france | | 19 | SERVICETYPE_UAE | uae | +-----+------------------------+-------------------+ Edited February 21, 2016 by Everade
