talking about the navigation system for 2013 clients cause i'm using the latest one supported i believe unless theres still issues with the navigation system on this specific client that i'm unaware of i'm guessing it could be something error related based on lua's or something but im not sure. Scratch that I figured out what the issue now that i started decompiling my own lub's for navigation I'm just working on learning how they put together the navigation so I can add more of the new npc's to the navigation and working on making custom npc's for navigation as well. I noticed quite alot is still missing translation too so ive been working on that but I will get back to translating the client more again as well. Client's also tricky because while some things work fine with windows 7 some of the changes effect windows 8 slightly differently so I've been invesitating what might be the cause of this as well o-o

Not sure what you mean by this i actually used xdifpatcher to patch myself a client i have not tried one from neomind o-o also im still trying to debug one issue with the navigation system still for some reason searching doesn't work it crashes the client so im not sure exactly what's causing it but seeing how it doesn't give an error to the map server i'm thinking it must be in regards to something that's changed lub wise. but regardless the client needs a proper translation for everything either way and hex codes can also be used in the future for future client patching.

Not sure if its possible to actually add more .gr2 monsters without replacing the existing ones I know atleast that with xray it would be possible but meruru didn't see much in a point in continuing his project after kro decided to do its lua table system.

80468,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,"Helping Hailer Girl" yeap its added correctly within the database as well @ossi0110 which client are you using because nearly everything out of msgstringtable is hardcoded in the 2012-04-10aRagexeRE.exe client so if one of the newer ones is less hardcoded or one of the slightly earlier versions didn't have this issue i'm interested.

Normally thats true pre 2012-04-10aRagexeRE client wise but like was said above if you try adding more and they go over a certain number the client automaticly replaces them with an unknown quest in the window and they will not appear within the ACT log whether this changed after said client or not i'm not sure because this is the newest client i've tested with. But for purposes i'll give an example: As you can see below the very first novice quest of the official quests appears properly in the log with the correct listing But if a custom quest gets added 80468 (high enough ID so that it doesnt conflict with the official quests) You can see it appears to the right as something in korean with (null) which most likely translates to unknown quest or something to that effect but the client correctly has the entry added: 80468#Helping Hailer Girl#SG_FEEL#QUE_NOIMAGE# The Girl in Hailer has asked you to go to market using one of the market signs in a city.# Go to market and find the mailbox at 100 121 and use the password pizza.# This is why i said the client must be hardcoded with limits on how many max quests can be in the quest log and it probly wont go over a certain set number.

That must be it seems like all custom quests no longer will read my guess is kro seems to have placed a limit on how many quests can be in the quest log cause all the official ones seem to be working properly i wonder if this is true of clients over 2012-04-10aRagexeRE.exe cause that would royally suck. And yeah Emistry everything is properly converted i never use LUA's for a client. I also tried using the quest lub system to add more files in and the game client didn't like me modifying the quest_function.lub any modification made to add more quests in that way makes the client go herp derp so that leads me to believe that it's probly hardcoded as well or limited like the new quest's.

Has anyone been able to figure out in the 2012-04-10aRagexeRE.exe client if the questid2display.txt was either renamed or changed the folder its located? cause for some reason it doesnt load custom entries it gives them a default like unknown null instead of showing there information even though everything is correctly in its location. Also the new quest log doesn't seem to show them either window wise its only when you click show quests that it pops up they arent showing in the active window at all.

If your using mysql make sure that they are properly added into your database because some patches ago they where uncommented in rathena. Also make sure that your client files are updated as well.

Its an awesome project honestly don't really mind it being closed source as long as its finished and released for use because then hopefully people wouldnt be greedy about sharing plugins that they made unlike open sourced projects that many times people just improve and develop for there own personal use. With that being said do you plan on increasing the client limits for models like the max amount of polygons the client can render and such since ragnarok had pretty low limits since they never updated any of that. It would be nice to be able to use models with more vertical textures and polygons so i didn't have to nerf every model i make rsm wise.

I figured out what the issue is the name of the files aren't correct for that client version they should be named navi_npc_krpri.lub not sure why that is but atleast managed to resolve it feel free to use the lub i attatched since all you guys are nice took me awhile to translate most of it there are some differences in npc names and how they translate from korean to what they are on rathena currently and there are some npc's missing in certain locations of the newer area's and of course some things arent 100pct translated but its better then it was >;o!

Defently doesnt seem to be working at all with the 2012-04-10a not sure why folders are correct and all >.> the game just wants to stay korean <.< navi_npc_krsak.zip

Does anyone know a program that works well on windows 64bit that can debug lua's and give the line error i tried using luac5.0.2.exe for it but it doesnt give the actual line the error is it just keeps giving me line 1 error and there's nothing wrong with the first line.

I was wondering if anyone has figured out the actual NPC names found from search results i have more then 80% of navi_npc_krsak.lua translated but i'm still getting korean names from them. I checked the client and it doesnt seem to have any of it either so is there another file that it gathers results from as well?

Well if your looking for a more direct translation: Dungeon warp scroll used Warp services allowed Use airports Most of the msgstringtable isn't used atleast in the 2012-04-10a version but because nanakiwurtz was nice enough to help with the translating of the clientside part of it i'll upload the msgstringtable for 2012-04-10a i translated most of it and it might not be perfect but until iro uses the same client we wont have anything better. msgstringtable.txt

It seems the first id is used in the link distance and the npc distance but i'm still not sure how to go about using it because it would be interesting to figure out how to add more npc's to the list

I'm wondering if anyone has messed with navi_link_krsak.lua if so has anyone figured out the structure of npc's in it yet i'm still unsure about all of them but I will share what i figured out thus far. "jawaii", <- map name 11719, <- not sure? 204, <- not sure? 100, < not sure? "Sailor", <- npc name "Back to Alberta", <-description 122, <-- x cor 263, <-- y cor "alberta", <- warp to location 192, <- x cor 215 <- y cor }, the first map name is the location which is used with the coor's found either under NPC name or description depending whether the npc provides a description of what the NPC is for (not all of them do) the next map name is the location of where the NPC warps to with the coor's to that location i'm just not sure what the 3 numbers under first map name is i was thinking the first might be the quest ID but I'm not sure.

The whole point of having a private server isn't to just copy whats already in IRO if that was true then what reason would anyone have to play a private over playing official. Right now you have free to play on the main servers so you could just play it officially if you didnt like private servers. Atleast for me my server is to provide a unique experience that you couldn't find if you search through all the other servers something that is unique and while its not completely custom and it uses renewal classes and all if i can provide added things that make it different from other servers my server might be known just because of what i'm providing that you cant find officially or on other servers. But I used to think that it was really important to be a copy of the official servers but over the 9 years of learning how to make a server and learning all the things that you can do to the game to make it more interesting ive realised that being a copy wasn't for me.

The issue I ran into happened to be related to msgstringtable.txt not being updated but i was able to resolve that error.

I've been trying to use the 2011-12-28 client and I can't seem to get past the login window it fails to connect even with the right connection information the servers compiled with #define PACKETVER 20111228 and using the packets you provided but after the password is typed in and login is hit the client is crashing i also used the provided lub's and mstringtable as well so i'm not sure what the issue is.
