  1. From an administrative standpoint, this has always been something I've wanted; not for "item dupes" or "untrustworthy GMs", but for easier tracing of items that are misplaced or stolen between players/friends. It is a chore and a half to trace items, and unique item IDs would expedite this process. Ease of use; isn't that something wanted at the emulation level? This is something eAmod incorporates, as well as large scale servers I've worked for in the past, and is something I've always scratched my head over as to why eAthena never had it included in the emulator.

    This notion gains a +1 from me.

  2. From my personal testing on my own server, it does appear as though the instance only generates properly if the correction menu option is selected first, however, that is in rev16316. I'll have to test in the latest rA to confirm it's still using iffy behavior. If it is still allowing users to get in without first properly generating everything, I will opt for a small functionality adjustment to ensure players are able to get in properly without having to have a GM intervene should it not be triggered the correct manner.

  3. File Name: jTynne's Palette Renaming Tool

    File Submitter: jTynne

    File Submitted: 15 Jul 2012

    File Category: Spriting & Paletting Tools

    Content Author: jTynne

    Okay, so, basically I needed a tool that would copy and rename .pal files into all the different class palette names since the "All In One" palette diff no longer works with RE game clients. The result was me asking for someone to write something that did just that, and clydelion is in the process of writing a program that can do that. I've created a php script based off of something Yommy posted to us in #rathena that did similar. I've adjusted his script base to do the following:

    - Script reads numerically numbered .PAL files from one directory and renames them into all the different class names (and genders).

    - Script tar.gz's the output directory and provides a download link for easily downloading the files.

    - Script can easily be edited to do what YOU need it to do.

    From the "readme.txt" file:

    == Instructions ==

    1. On a PHP enabled machine, upload the contents of this package to a web directory (or localhost if you're that cool).

    2. Next, CHMOD 777 "base" and "output" directories.

    3. Upload palettes as #.PAL (capital extension -- you MUST honor the case) to the "base" folder.

    Note: Numbering starts at 0 and ends at whatever you define in the palette.php file.

    Find: for($i = 0; $i < 100; $i++) { and change the 100 to the max number of palette files you have in the "base" directory.

    4. Run palette.php from your browser. You'll see a bunch of confirmation messages.

    5. You can then download the contents of the "output" directory by clicking the download link provided at the bottom of the page.

    Unfortunately, I'm not that great with PHP, so I doubt I'll be able to extend this script much further. If someone else would care to collaborate or modify it further, please do let me know.

    If you'd like to share your appreciation for this release, my Paypal is: [email protected] - 50% proceeds go back to rAthena.

    - Automatically add all files to a specified GRF archive (.gpf or .grf) file for easy implementation. (If you're able to do this PLEASE contact me, as I'm clueless!)

    There's a list of all the palette names.. not sure their classes, though. Just a dirinfo of my palette folder.

  5. Good ticket system, just missing a couple important things.

    Currently you cannot see any account information of who has submitted a ticket. Displays as "Submitted by Player", with no links to see their account ID, username, character names, etc. This proves nearly impossible to quickly know who actually needs support. If this is added, it'll be fully competitive with the other main Support Ticket system that was released I think by SketchPhoenix.

    Really like the UI for formatting text and such, and eagerly looking forward to improvements to be made. May have to I have switched back to my old ticket system for the time being, as it's much more user friendly from an administrative standpoint. :(

    Solid, though, and recommend the purchase after improvements are made!

  6. I'd just use:

    OnNPCKillEvent:

    if(killedrid == 1956) { getitem 501,1; }

    Granted, that wouldn't go to the party leader-- it'd go to someone in the party, but that could perhaps be useful if you don't want to use an event label.

    Otherwise, for ET:

    Find:

    OnTimer10500:

    instance_announce 0,"You'll soon know. Mine is the face of death!",bc_map,"0x00ffcc";

    stopnpctimer;

    monster "6@tower",156,147,"Nacht Sieger",1956,1,instance_npcname("#4th Beeper", instance_id())+"::OnMyMobDead";

    end;

    OnMyMobDead:

    donpcevent instance_npcname("Lost Soul#102", instance_id())+"::OnEnable";

    end;

    Add:

    OnMyMobDead:

    getitem ###,#;

    donpc...

    Still doesn't go to the party leader, but too lazy to write that portion out. xP
