Anyone knows how to remove the help (/h) information on startup?

I read some topics to change langtype to 1 to prevent it from showing.

It worked but as a result, It stopped me from deleting any character.

Any fix for that besides changing the langtpe to 1?

Thanks

there is an option in char_athena.conf(rAthena) where you can change between email and birthdate... have you tried this?

Quote

// Restrict character deletion by email address or birthdate.

// This restricts players from changing the langtype and deleting characters.

// For birthdate, the client must be 20100803 or newer.

// 1: Email address

// 2: Birthdate (default)

// 3: Email address or Birthdate

char_del_option: 2

some of the langtype uses birthdate and some of them are using email.

lantype 0 = birthdate

langtype 1 = email

Never knew that there's an option like that. I'm gonna try using option 1 and let you know.

It worked.

Thanks Emistry and Reigneil.

I think you're given the option to remove the help message when you diffing your client.

I am using NEMO Patcher for my 2013-08-07 Client.

Which patch is it?

As of now, I am trying different langtypes and results are the following:

0 - With /h at start but can delete char

1 - No /h at start but can't delete char

2 - No /h, can delete char but character window screen is black

3 - No /h and can delete char

4 - No /h and can delete char

10 - No /h but can't delete char

12 - Rejected from server

Is there any drawback using different langtypes?

Thanks Emistry!

or if you want to use langtype 0

just edit data\Luafiles514\lua files\datainfo\helpmsgstr.lub

and remove all the entries there with ""

HelpMsgStr = {
}

I will stick with 1 as 0 will give me two more problems:

- Nothing will show if the players used help /h ingame

- Guild brackets will show as ( ) even though I applied "Use Guild Normal Brackets"

Thanks
