Diffing/Patching Error! 2013-08-07 Ragexe

I am trying to change the Icon of an undiffed 2013-08-07 Ragexe client using ResHacker.

 

After replacing the icon, it looked something like this.

 

Next, I will diff the client using xDiff Patcher but here comes the problem.

I am receiving 5-7 errors while applying the patch. (Attached 2 of that error)

Ignored it at first but after then, client wont open.

 

I also tried using NEMO Patcher and got the same results. 5-7 Errors and still wont let me run the client. (Attached 1 of that error)

 

Anyone knows how to fix it?

Is there a diff or patch that I need to enable/disable?

Or I'm replacing the icon incorrectly?

First apply your patches and don't forget to include "Use Ragnarok Icon" patch . Then replace the icon with ResHacker.

I've been replacing the Icons first because I had read about it somewhere.

Also, I never used "Ragnarok Icons" patch.

 

Will inform you later if it works.

Didn't work.

Client doesn't run, the original does.

 

Any other suggestions? Anyone?

try to re-diff the client, change the name and restart it.

start the proper setup.exe and make sure that (at least) the setup.exe works.

if not, re-diff it using the "HKLM to HKCU" option and do the things above.

I will try these later after work.

 

Added question:

1. Is there a correct icon size that I need to use?
2. When using reshacker on the client, there's Icon and Icon Group folder, which one should I change?

Didn't work. It also it made the setup.exe to run over and over that I had to restart just to stop it.

 

Anyone?

I'm having the same problem. No matter if I change the icon before or after applying the patches, it won't work.

Changing before causes a lot of patches to "fail in part 4" and changing after renders the .exe unusable. Bump!
