piaoasd123 Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 (edited) Hi all- I just joined this community because I am interested in learning how to program mmog servers. I've been a big fan of RO eversince its beta release, and I think studying rAthena would be a great way to learn mmog server architecture, programming techniques, and etc. I have some 2d game programming experience in c++, and I think my basic understanding of c/c++ and programming in general is enough to start learning about the server side. However after trying to look through the code of rAthena, the shear amount of code made me a bit lost... I greatly appreciate any advice/suggestion you might have for a beginner of server programming like me. Many thanks! Edited April 10, 2014 by piaoasd123 Quote
Euphy Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 First, read doc/source_doc.txt for a general introduction. We also have Doxygen set up, and our developers are continuing to improve the documentation of rAthena's source code. Quote
