Question

Posted

Hello, since my test server got terrible bugged (npcs don't load, some scripts doesn't run, and now i just can't run/open my test server on my laptop, more importantly, i used o use as a test server a eathena version) i transfered my online server to my lapto and i want to make it a test server, i already changed the ips of char and map to 127.0.0.1 and it's all i have done

may i ask someone to help me to end the editions of the files so i can test with my online server on my laptop?

thank you so much in advance

@GM Mortal thanks for the repply, i don't want at all to fix the old server test because it's eathena, also i would feel more confortable to use my online version as a test server so i can use it without harming the online one

@chowking i have sql installed on my laptop, i also have a sql databse with rathena tables and so on, i was thinking it would be better to connect my downloaded online server to that database so i can test, inter_conf was also edited thank you o:!

huh so, any idea to how connect my test server an existing db? i can't remember at all x_x sorry

Where is that existing database ?

If its on a 2nd PC ( rented Rootserver or 2nd PC connected via Network ) you may have the problem that your laptop has not the permissions to read the SQL directly. I would get a copy of that database to the laptop ( export / import in phpmyadmin ) and make proper configuration in inter_conf.txt or inter_athena.conf

ah^^

please check this:

1) the sql table login is there account 1 ? Gender S ?

2) check: char_athena.conf, inter_athena.conf, login_athena.conf and map_athena.conf for proper settings of IP, Port, userid and passwd. They have to fit to the data in table login account 1. NOTE: inter_athena.conf and inter_conf.txt use the data of `mysql`.`user`

3) if you use the conf/import folder check: char_conf.txt, inter_conf.txt, login_conf.txt and map_conf.txt also.
