Dynamic IP Portforwarding

When i tried to check if my port is open using PFChecker

oh a globe broadband user. sometimes dynamic ip gets 120.x.x.x which is not really stable. even you open the port. it will still remain block.

I used No-ip that org to use portforwarding make sure you have router and you should Open Port to Firewall TCP and UDP by 5121,6121,6900

 

Edit: I forgot Firewall must be off

Well i have a Modem Router (Provided by the ISP) + Broadband Router + SwitchHub

 

And the Screenshots above i followed them in the Port Forwarding Ragnarok Guide

you must use ip updater using 3rd party program just like no-ip or dyndns.

your dodging my question..im asking if i can host a server even though its telling that your port is not open or not reachable .. i have also the no-ip dns

yup you can. but you must install the 3rd party program. a little bit slow low.

and note you must reset your modem if you got 120.x.x.x ip until you got 180.x.x.x ip.

but when i checked it via PortForwardChecker

the port is not open because the server is not open. you must run the server first then try to make a ping on the port.

my friend can't connect what will i put there clientinfo.xml? is the no-ip? or the 180.xxx.xxx.xxx?

Hi ShiroYasha,

 

Please go to your Windows command line and type 'ipconfig'. IP address values should show up; look for the 'IPv4 Address' value, and can you see if it matches "192.168.2.150"?

 

Also, when you use the PortForwardChecker on your RO ports (while your RO server is running); make sure you select TCP instead of UDP. Your ports don't seem to be opened still, since you are suppose to use your NO-IP in the char/map conf files instead of "127.0.0.1". "127.0.0.1" in your conf files, is for a local server and not public.

Still the port isnt open or not reachable i have two routers one is the Edimax Router and Prolink ADSL Router i already configured the Virtual Servers for both but still nothing

You most likely have to portforward your LAN IP for your 2nd router onto your 1st router; 192.168.1.x

 

After that, you port forward your LAN IP for your computer onto your 2nd router; 192.168.2.x

 

It'd be smarter to just use 1 router; have your computer connected to the router which is connected directly to the internet, and do it that way instead.

your port will be close, because GLOBE close all ports,

even if you open it in your modem, its still close in them,

 

unlike PLDT,

unnecessary ports are open in them,

so you just need to open it in your router,

basically do i need to call my ISP to open this ports?? is there any fee for that?

it's only allowed in business plan.

 

 

if your plan is only residential,
