2013-06-05 cash shop issue

ive searched the forums high and low, as well as abused google in the ear searching for the answer to this.

 

im using trunk r17440 with a 2013-06-05 client, and i cant seem to buy from the cash shop.

it just prints out "The purchase has failed because the NPC does not exist".

 

i've done checked my packet_db. ive had a look at clif.c, ive broken my server quite a few times, but restored it with a fresh revision, and still no avail.

 

i would say that by the looks of it, its sending the wrong packet information, but im not an expert on this =/

 

any help would be appriciated =)

revert all the red you see here and delete all green

recompile and try.. make sure you have backup. focus only @ packetdb.txt and clif.c

 

or if you have doubt better to wait for admin to fix this.

i have the same problem only with a 20130320 client . (svn trunk rev17440 ,too)

reigneil , may i ask what you mean with revert the red and delete the green?
isnt the green stuff the fix ?o_O
I'm not entirely new to rAthena but to the compile  and editing stuff I am . I am confused now

yes that was the fix thats kinda buggy for 2013 client.

backup first.

rollback all the fix commited on that update... then recompile especially packetdb.txt and clif.c

i used also 20130320.

Ah ha! This is exactly what I was after. I knew what packets needed editing, but not what to.

I'll give this a try when I get home.

i'm doing it manually, just open it with notepad++ or any document editor you have... and goto the following lines then do the rollback.

If I recall, the cash shop src+packets changed on r17429. I think.

That means, if you don't wanna change anything, just download r17428.

yeah that would be right i had the idea  that I could revert the clif.c to trunk 17429/17428 myself (and did that for the 29 rev) but i am just so utterly confused what to use with what client now ...i have my server running on 14440 atm but i just  realized storage is not being saved for the weapon and equip part (or not  shown) so i've gotta sort that out first i guess...since i'm playing by myself anyway . but thanks for the answers and helping !

okay i downgraded to trunk rev 17428 now , with 20130320 ragexe (diffed myself) and read datafolder first it works and i can buy  from the cash shop now !
