I am a new developer for Ragnarok Online Private Server. I don't have any experience in developing a Ragnarok Online Private Server, so I seriously need your help to solve my problems.

I don't know my RagexeRE version. I am downloading Ragnarok Online Client from http://ragnarok.lytogame.com/download/client.asp (Port Malaya 31 October 2012) I already use 20121031 for the PACKETVER but I still get CHARACTER_INFO size error!! character num : 0 CHARACTER_INFO size : 116

I don't know what I must do, I am so stress about it.

Everything are default except things that suggested by rAthena Wiki (http://rathena.org/wiki/Category:Installation_Guides) must be edited.

I am using rAthena SVN Revisions 17218 and I don't know how I can update rAthena SVN Revisions to 17221, did I must redownload it and start it from the beggining, no way, hiks.

did you check your packet_db.txt and mmo.h?

How did you download rAthena to begin with?  TortoiseSVN lets you update with a simple click.

 

Get a client from here.

I can't open the RagexeRE.exe

I don't get it, how I can make a full client and lite/small client.

 

I think the site you give to me don't do anything, I am seriously confused.

You can't just open the clients from that site, you have to Diff them.  http://rathena.org/wiki/Hexing

 

Also you didn't answer my question before, how did you download rAthena to begin with?  Please don't tell me you saved each file one by one xD

 

Oh and to answer your question about the full / lite clients, a lite client is the exact same as the full, but doesn't have the Data.grf file or BGM folder generally.

mischaelsoftman, I download it using TortoiseSVN of course, and now I know how to update it, TortoiseSVN Update.
Okay, I am using another client from a private server but as the results I can't see any npc or monster, I type @monsterbig thanatos and the thanatos keep attacking me but I can't see it.

I will try to use another way, do you have any recommended client for rathena?
I also don't know why everytime I login, I losts my skill. I am using @skillall to mastered all of my skills because I am too lazy, lulz but then I do it manually but I still get the same results, do you know how I can fix it? It also make my tab skills gone, I hate it --a

 

Yes, I already diff it! Applied 0 and 0 failed patches! I have no idea! I can't use it, hiks T_T

Use the 2012-04-10a client.

 

When you're diffing it, why aren't you using any patches? :P

 

When you pick a new client make sure to change the date in mmo.h and then also recompile and restart your server.

Datav3.0 Basic Complete Renewal Data English Folder:

This is the 2nd requirement of an server, the data folder where all the client files goes.

Copy the  "AI","AI_sakray","data" and "System" folders into your RO root/install folder, so where your exe is.

 

( I'm not sure which date that was, but the file I have was "data_v3.0.rar", or if it had been updated again. ) 

 

Download the "2012-04-10 Lub+src" file and unpack it somewhere:

 

data folder:

Copy and paste this folder into your install folder also, if he wants to import since an data folder already exists, just do it.

Only the "luafiles514" folder with its content will be copied.

 

src folder:

Those are exact files like above the only difference is those are lua files, which you can compile with the necessary program (luac5.0.2.exe on Aerie-PinkPanther's SVN) to compile lua to lub files. But since the 2012-04-10 client doesnt accept the header in the lub files after compiling, just rename lua to lub if you don't have the diff "Load Lua before Lub".

Nope the src folder is mainly for you or if your client uses the "Load Lua before Lub" diff then use that.

But it's recommended to use lub files because of the resolution bug with luas, but by renaming lua to lub it works just fine.
