Mumbles Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 (edited) File Name: Flavor Text Death Announcer File Submitter: Via File Submitted: 23 Jan 2013 File Category: Utilities Content Author: Via A customizable death announcer that broadcasts on the map pre-defined by the GM configuring the NPC's settings. It helps GMs keep track of player death when hosting events styled to have a last-man-standing winner while adding a creative flair to each situation. It is written so that an announcement with "flavor text" is broadcasted when a player is killed by either a monster or another player. To avoid duplicate announcements, the previous mode is disabled upon activating a new mode. The current release, 1.0, is activated by "whispering" a string of any text to "npc:death". Doing so calls the config panel to set the NPC according to your needs. Mumbles Posted January 26, 2013 Author Posted January 26, 2013 Link unreachable. rAthena boards appeared to be having some connectivity issues yesterday, but the link should be live; it's hosted here. http://rathena.org/board/files/file/2777-utility-flavor-text-death-announcer/ Added a mirror in case the file has not yet been approved for the rAthena Downloads section yet. Capuche Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 (edited) I suggest to add option to trigger multi maps. Besides it's a nice script. Edited January 26, 2013 by Capuche Quote
Stolao Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Suggestion use a bindatcmd instead of whisper maybe? Quote
Mumbles Posted January 29, 2013 Author Posted January 29, 2013 Suggestion use a bindatcmd instead of whisper maybe? That would work for rAthena; I wrote this to be compatible with both eA and rA. :| Quote
