im trying to host my website using that router, it was working fine when im accessing it through localhost, but when i try to access it using my IP address, i think my router blocks it coz it was showing the router's home page instead of my web page. can you help me configure my router to allow to access to my webpage via my wan ip address

PS: i already forward port 80, the thing is that everytime i access my wan ip. i think my router (by default) reroute it to my router's home page.

Hello avahdon,

By default, if you route port 80 to your computer's LAN IP, your router will forward the router's home page to port 8080.

I would like to help you through TeamViewer, just contact me and send a PM to me.

Have a nice day!

Hi avahdon,

I recommend checking this site out: http://portforward.com/

You should be able to look up your router's manufacturer and model, then it will tell you step-by-step instructions on how to properly portforward to allow outside access.

There is also the case of port block made by ISPs, if your router page WAN IP shows a different ip from whatismyip.com..ur probably in a LAN
