Zlik Posted December 11, 2012 Group: Members Topic Count: 2 Topics Per Day: 0.00 Content Count: 7 Reputation: 0 Joined: 12/10/12 Last Seen: December 28, 2012 Share Posted December 11, 2012 Pardon for my intrusion... i don't know if i'm in the right section or not.. it's my second day here in rAthena forum, looking for information that i need to know in order to create my very own server, Yeah! im planning to create my own private server, so i'm asking a help for everyone, anyone, your the one., what are the things that i need to know in order to create my very own server pc specs, internet connection, can i handle it all by myself?, is it possible to copy and download the sprites and pallete of others and use it as my very own? i can't find a topic that answers all my question, Thank you so much if you can help me.. suggestion and comments are very welcome p.s i'm a newbie,, so please don't be rude to me THANKS! I am trying to create a Ragnarok server as well. I've gotten as far as getting the server online and creating a client, but then the client wouldn't fully work for me. Kept giving me errors, and I couldn't find help with the errors anywhere (and the guide I used to create that one was missing alot of information so I was guessing for half of it, or doing alot of trials and errors. Took me 3 days to get that far, only to scrap the whole server cause it never ended up working after that). So asking for help here should not be frowned upon because it is so hard to find an accurate up-to-date step-by-step guide on how to create a ragnarok server for beginners. So it would be much appreciated if someone could be actually helpful (and not just say google it, or direct us to a link to the wiki, you lazy ****ers), and point us in the direction of a good guide that a noob could follow easily enough and get their own server up and running with little to no difficulties? A video tutorial would be even better if anyone's willing to make one. The only one I was able to find on google was SharpineRO's, which is the one that i tried and couldn't get to work. It would be best as always to start with single machine... both server and client.... follow the tutorial as per Judas Bible... after that try moving the client to another machine letting it run via LAN... when it works you can mke your Pages for support on registration and server forum... then move it or make it public via running it on a hosted site or your own made WAN connection. If you encounter any problem along the way feel free to post again but make sure it is detailed enough for us to debug and understand.
