about linux time changing

i change my server date

i used this command

ln -sf /usr/share/zoneinfo/Asia/manila localtime

so that time should be april 15 2012 1pm

but the result is april 16,2012 2pm..

the time advanced for 1 day and 1 hours

help please

Hi glemor123,

It should be 'ln -sf /usr/share/zoneinfo/Asia/Manila /etc/localtime'

Also, you must take into consideration the date of the dedicated server that your VPS is hosted on; since these symbolic date links are based on offsets from the dedicated server's time.
