That way you wouldn't have to create a new account for every char if you want to support yourself and you would only have to buy VIP for one account as an example. Everything is made with the assumption that the account ID is unique to a player. A simple example would be a script function like "rid2name". Which name should that return, since they both players have the same rid (the rid is the account ID, to be clear)? Plus, that's the easy part. Imagine using a storage on two characters in the same account; you'd be able to dupe items left and right and that's just one scenario.
