input does not work with new player character

someone know why script input does not work with new player character?
 

please, create a new player character and try to input something... it will freeze

-	script	login	-1,{
  OnPCLoginEvent:
    mes "hello";
    input .@val;
    mes .@val;
  close;
}

maybe because you want to display .@val variable in that mes , in that case you can try to do it like this :

-	script	login	-1,{
  OnPCLoginEvent:
    mes "hello";
    input .@val;
    mes " "+.@val+" ";
  close;
}

That should work.  AFAIK.
