Hello. I hope you're all safe at these difficult times.

I decided to run a server but it's been sooooo long since I ever ran a server. I'm relying on this guide:

and I came across a hurdle right from the beginning. Hahahaha. I was wondering which Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 I need to download on this link below? I can really use the help. Please and thank you.

Or.. should I just download 2019? If so, which 2019 should I download in this link?

Thanks, I'm downloading and installing it right now. Oh, I forgot to mention. My rathena version is 2017-12-24, would Visual Studio 2017 community work? Sorry, I should've mentioned this in the first place but I'm very very very rusty with this whole rathena thing and I wasn't even good to begin with. Hahahaha man.

Oh, and more thing. Which things should I tick in 1st and 2nd tab? There are sooo many of them, do I just ignore them?

i think it would work on any version as long as you set and match your packetver in defines_pre.hpp folder

im using this one try to check this and also to save you space on your hdd

Thanks for your guidance I was able to successfully build my rathena. Thank you.

Now, for those of you who would come across this post, I'll leave you which ones I ticked when installing Microsoft Visual Studio 2017. You should also know that even if you don't install them, Visual Studio has its own magical way to tell you what you need and asks you whether you'd want to install them or not. I guess that's why it was so hard to find out how to properly install Visual Studio 2017 in the first place. Hahahaha. Oh, and sorry for the language difference but I'm sure you can tell which is which by looking at the nouns like c++ or UWP or the version numbers. ?
