Making my own ragnarok private server

I have zero experience and knowledge on making a private server. What are the basics that I should know? Last time I played private server the server Got DDos attacked. Is ddos still a thing?
Do you guys know someone or recommend somebody who does Ragnarok online private server mentor-ship services?

Ddos is always a thing to everyone. If you want to get protected buy a web host that will guarantee your server safety.

If you don't have any experience maybe try to play offline server and play with it . This forum will help you

You can't prevent DDoS. It's part of a game. You'll need to have security to prevent DDoS on your server. There are lots of way to prevent this one though.

Basically you need to learn scripting if you want to start your ragnarok server.
