Practicing Creating Ragnarok

Anyone can give me some idea or tip to create Ragnarok. I just wanna practice creating Ragnarok, reason why I want to learn creating Ragnarok Online because I just want to build a Server by soon.

I already gave u few links of tutorial which u could learn & practicing to create RO server, including both clientside & serverside.

1. Purchase a good VPS / Dedicated Server

2. Plan what you want to do, is it Renewal or Pre-Renewal? 

3. Decide what OS would you like it to run, Windows, Centos etc. (but i suggest use Centos)

4. Read the installation document on the OS you have selected, instruction is pretty straight forward, if you know how to read; you should be able to install rathena to your server easily.

5. Download full kRO files

6. Select client exe to use, then diff it using NEMO to your preffered settings.

7. Edit clientinfo.xml so that your client can connect to your server.

There are lots of guides here to build a Ragnarok server.

Rule numer 1:

• Don't buy a vps or dedicated server if you don't have any idea about servers creation.

First of all, you should mount a server. Yes, it could sounds obious, but my personal opinion is that there isn't better way to learn about rA that start coding and testing... More than read guides, etc.

So, if you want to learn, mount a server and go to do some tests.

The first step on your post was "Purchase a good VPS / Dedicated Server"...

So... why to purchase those things if he can make a localhost server?

He should spent money first and then start thinking about the next step?

Of course that he have no idea about rA, thats why i said that he should't buy anything if he can make a localhost server for free first...

Of course that he have no idea about rA, thats why i said that he should't buy anything if he can make a localhost server for free first...

You can rent a good vps which can run rAthena for 2$ a month, testing and exploring on a live server (which is not opened publicly of course and for personal use) is better than doing it locally. FYI
