ICEROCK Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 (edited) Is it possible to use old client (2010) with the latest rA? What are the disadvantages? R: I don't want the extra features of the new clients. I want a plain and simple classic server. Edited April 8, 2016 by ICEROCK Quote
0 PandaLovesHamster Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Very possible, only disadvantage is that most hacks will work. Quote
0 Emistry Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 i believe the emulator itself has the backward compabiity for all previous old clients, it should be work fine as long as you provide the correct settings and packets settings. Quote
0 PeteyEks Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Hello PandaLovesHamster and Emistry. Thanks for posting recently. I was wondering if you knew how to identify a client's "packet_db_ver" & "packet_keys_use". I am intending on using the following client: https://rathena.org/board/topic/102572-kro-full-client-last-update-01132016/ There doesn't seem to be any recognition of a 2016 client in rAthena's latest packet_db.txt file: https://github.com/rathena/rathena/blob/master/db/packet_db.txt If I can ask another question, do either of you have a preferred client to use?
