#3 unknown packet version (SVN: 17723 // FullClient: 2014-08-22 // kRo.exe: 2010-06-16

Hey guys.

 

After setting up a client I am able to login and create a character. But Im not able to connect to the map-server because of unknown packet version.

 

 

I am using HEAD Revision (means 17723) of rAthena.

 

FullClient: 2014-08-22

 

with diffed kRo  2010-06-16

 

 

 

clientinfo version: <version>25</version>

 

 

also changed the mmo.h and recompiled.

 

 

packet_db.txt

 

 

packet_db_ver: default

packet_keys_use: default

Try changing your packet_db to the corresponding version of your client (25), same for the packet_keys (which has no information in my current packet_db, so you might have to look them up and add them to your client diff if you use packet obfuscation).

Im completly new to that rAthena and Client Setup thing.

 

I was hosting a server a few years ago (about 5-6 years)...

 

Time changed alot..!

 

I dont see any packet obfuscation option in my client diff?!

 

Can I just disable packet obfuscation?

 

What do you mean with changing packet_db?

 

Do I need to search for a old packet_db matching the 2010-06-16 client?

you can disable packet obfuscation by commenting out #define PACKET_OBFUSCATION in src/config/core.h
