I was going to install linux to create a server, but I've never used Linux before, and I was wondering if anyone could give me any suggestions as to which distro of linux I should get? Mainly using it to build and host my ragnarok server, but until it's complete, I'd be using it to play other games to occupy my time as well (if that makes any difference in choice of distro).

Yes I too would like to disable everything related to 3rd job, I already disabled it in the Job Changer. But what other npc's do I need to disable it in, and also what 3rd job-related Items do I need to disable that may give me bugs?

I'm having the same problem, and I tried changing " char_del_delay: 86400" and it didn't work =( Do I need to change anything else?

Can you help me? I'm trying to create my own sprite. It just keeps giving me problems when I try to make it into a .act file, I have a .spr file created, though I do want an animated one, and all I can get to work for the .spr is each frame automatically gets set to a direction. the gif is 7 frames, and I want it to look the same from each direction.

I just created a server, and prontera has a christmas theme (large christmas stalkings on ground and stuff). I want to change it back to the default prontera map, how do I go about doing this? Edit: and I appologize if this is in the wrong section, I wasn't sure where to add it.

I'm having the same problem. Using client version 2012-04-10, and I've tried the 2011-01-05, and it didn't work either, gave me other problems. I tried everything that everyone has suggested here.

@Magnetix, I know you have offered to help, and I've been on msn for the past 4 days strait, and haven't seen you online once, or gotten a message from you at all. So I gotta keep looking for others that can help me that are closer to the same time zone as me. If we can catch each other on at the same time eventually then that's awesome, but in the mean time, I'm going to try to look for more help. And if I find someone that can help I'll let you know so you're not still trying to catch me online. @Drops I had my clientinfo.xml set to 127.0.0.1, but I just changed it to my WAN IP (which I looked through the servers to see which ip each server was connecting to, map and char, and found out it was my WAN, at least I think it's wan, I always mix up what it's called.) I was able to connect now... At least until I made a char, then it gave me the error "Rejected from Server. (3)" and then when I click 'OK', it closes my client... it's just one error after another with this >.< I'm soo close though, I can taste it!... tastes like mango.

i get this when I try to open my client, and when I hit 'enter' it closes it, and nothing more happens. Does anyone know how I can fix this, and get it to actually fully open the client?

I just reformatted and tried starting fresh, and i got to the part where i gotta open microsoft visual studio 2010 in the video, and it gives me this error when i try to open the file... I got version 2012, and it worked, but I'd prefer 2010 cause it doesn't expire in 30 days... ok, i got as far as this... This is what happens when I try to login to my server (all servers say 'ready', and none of them had any errors, and my ports are forwarded). Anyone know how to fix this?

Still having the same problem, the "group_id" is already setup, it was before... so i still don't know what the problem is. Maybe someone can just try TeamViewing with me?

i'm so confused as to what i'm supposed to do... i've been trying to figure this out for like 3 hours now... I have MySQL workbench open, I dopped the schema's I had, and re-created the nevero main schema, I opened the file, but haven't executed it into the schema yet, I scrolled down to the 'login' tables, and it already has `group_id` tinyint(3) NOT NULL default'0' so I don't know where i'm supposed to add the line again, or whatever i'm supposed to do.

I don't know where that is located.

Which table to i need to add it to?

If you read my previous posts, I have stated that I had been following that youtube tut, and even posted it myself in an earlier post. Also, in the post right before yours, I just said it's not a firewall, and I did check everything over 100%. I posted all my configs, my settings, I posted everything. I have done everything I could. I don't need someone telling me to do something that I have repeatedly stated that I've already done. What I need, is someone to go through the configs themselves, if they think there is a problem with them, and try to find it themselves. Since I can't find it. Unless it's a problem with something that hasn't been mentioned yet, I really have no idea what it could be.

I don't know where exactly you mean by server communication user/pass, if you're talking about MySQL, the username is root, but the pass is password, and everywhere else is 'username' and the username, and 'password' as the pass. dunno how much simpler I can make it. I double checked, triple checked, checked it again, then rinsed and repeated multiple times. I just keep getting the same error. I even tried re-downloading everything, and starting fresh again. still got the same problem. And no, it's not a firewall issue. I both, turned the firewall off, AND added it to the list of acceptions.

I just changed it, but I think I did it right the first time and it didn't work, and when I tried re-making the tables, I probably just forgot to do it again. But it still didn't help the server connect =\ Still getting the same error.

(Of course I edited my IP Address in the pastebins to 0.0.0.0 so keep that in mind. In my actual file, they have my legit IP Address.)

I have no clue what you are talking about, about any of that lol. If you want me to post the configurations for anything, you're going to have to tell me exactly what I'm supposed to post. What file you want me to show, or whatever.
