Amatsu Crash

It's been ages since I've attempted running a server of any sort, but I decided to try again due to nostalgia...  Anyways, after setting up my server and getting everything done, when I take a ship from Alberta to Amatsu, I crash.  I'm using an 20130807 client with revision 17704...  I can only assume that there is an npc sprite or something that is missing...  As far as I know my client has been updated all the way...  Is something wrong in the data.grf or should some sprite be in my data folder's sprite folder that I'm missing?

hmm i recommend to have a client diffed to show errors when there is missing files in the grf so you can tell what's going on

 

yeah sounds like that, or maybe you didn't made correctly your custom grf

 

also try to see in the console if you get any errors when the crash happens o:!

for all of you:

make sure that the data.grf is updated. (run the updater of the RO you're using. like rsu-updater, or others or Ragnarok.exe (launchers made by official servers).

then, try to use another data folder. get one from here, around the board. it's named something like translated data folder v4

I also have this problem.

Popup the "illegal file format" error msg.

Can't find /sprite/npc/4_m_jpnoji2.act and /sprite/npc/4_m_jpnoji2.spr.

 

My data.ini read hercules.grf first.

I think the 4_m_jpnoji2.act and 4_m_jpnoji2.spr in hercules.grf have some error.
And I use GRF Editor open hercules.grf find those files.

But I don't know how to fix this error.

I just delete the files.

And it can work now!
