client 'canot connect to server' error in LAN environment

Hi, I'm starting my own server using rathena. For now, I'm currently testing it in my LAN. I have 2 computers in the same network, 1 is the server in CentOS and the other one is the client (windows 7).

 

I've setup the rathena in my server and it's running well (all char, map, and login server is turned on), but when I start the client in windows 7 and filling my id and pass, it cannot connect to the server. Here's my server information:

 

- ragexe used: 2010-07-28aRagexeRE

 

- char_athena.conf -> login_ip : 127.0.0.1, char_ip : 127.0.0.1

- map_athena.conf -> char_ip : 127.0.0.1, map_ip : 127.0.0.1

- subnet_athena.conf -> subnet: 255.0.0.0:127.0.0.1:127.0.0.1

 

- db/packet_db.txt -> packet_db_ver: 23

 

- my clientinfo.txt ->

<address> 192.168.xxx.xxx (the server's host IP) </address>

<port>6900</port>

<version>23</version>

<langtype>1</langtype>

 

- mmo.c packetver 20102807

 

please help! been struggling for 5 hours with no result...

mmo.c ? I think it's mmo.h

 

and you got it so wrong, it should be YYYYMMDD so it'll gonna be 20100728 as PACKETVER

 

Make sure you also have compiled your server before running it.

 

On your packet_db.txt, just set it to default.

 

And in your client info, since you're just using it as LAN based server, I think you still need to port forward. Or try using 127.0.0.1 instead since it'll still read anything that comes up running in your router.

I've resolved the problem, now another problem occured. I was able to login using my account, but after selecting server, it failed to connect to server (now, I'm using windows 7 as client and server)

 

here's the screenshot of my login server (it closes connection to the server right after logging in)

is everything running on your comp? you have painted over the first line ip:???? to use the localhost adress everything should point and run to 127.0.0.1 (char-server, map-server, longin-server, client)
