Yesterday test to use rAthena under lan connections (when get ip dhcp server (ISP central)).

->in my case i have Pseudostatic-IP (my router behaves like dynamic ip) but when I connect to my ISP center gives me the same IP never changes.

Ok i try configure rAThena.

in this case for example

(LAN 192.168.1.10)

(WAN IP (for example) 0.0.0.0) (I will not put my IP (xD))

if you configure rAThena connections:

2 cases:

1 using LAN to connect map/char

2 using WAN to connect map/char

case 1:

- char_athena.conf

-> login_ip: LAN IP

- >char_ip: WAN IP

- map_athena.conf

-> char_ip: LAN IP

-> map_ip: WAN IP

- subnet_athena.conf

- subnet: 255.255.255.0:192.168.1.10:192.168.1.10

run server (SQL).

char/map connect perfect but when try log using client.

if you use in .xml ->

 <address>127.0.0.1</address> ->  work

 <address>LAN IP</address> -> work

 <address>WAN IP</address> -> don't work

offline works fine... but if you use online (other users) don't work. if more in mapserver doesn't appear in the attempt connection.

2 case:

Put WAN IP in all cases.

map/char

Error: make_connection: connect failed (socket #2, error 10061: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

my router disconnect all.

firewall

dmz open == port forwarding

but also I put manually per port per port

and the same error block attempt connection map/char under my WAN IP..

in my case i can't disable NAT, if no the ISP rejects my connection.

rAthena don't works ONLINE under LAN connections¿¿?¿?

thanks.

if the server hosted on your personal computer. you must use localip. and if its on local area network. you also need to use both localip since the server is hosted on your personal computer. but when the connection is from outside your router. if you ip is not static ip. you must need to your 3rd party program like no-ip. so others from the internet can connect to your server. you can't use your wanip as your server if you don't have any lookback adapater setup on your host.

if your wan ip is not changing. you must use loopback adapter.
