noob question updating your server

hi! this might come as an obvious dumb question but bear with me, a group of friends has a server that we play on and we noticed theres skills we cant use

 

and after googling the matter it seems to be that our server is running an older verison now my question is how do you update ur server without removing progress and changes made to drops and what not?

If your SVN is so old it can't walk by itself (kidding) you have to download the latest version and apply all the changes you made from your old files.. MANUALLY. Yep, it's a pain in the arse!

updating your old svn to latest will cause too much updates..

depends on how old your current svn/emulator

too much updates? and im not 100% sure but it isnt that old max an year old

 

also what im intressted in is how you do it

you cant automatically update your svn, you need to do it manually

 

Download Latest SVN > apply all your wanted modification on it >  done /ok
