It would probably be easier to just download BROWEdit, configure it to correctly point to your .grf's and then open the map via the GRF. Then use Save As to make the copy. I add the new map name in my resnametable file. Then i just update my mapcache with weemapcache using that resnametable. Then server-side i update my maplist with the copied map names. You don't actually need a separate map file to duplicate a map. Just utilize your resnametable. I've been using this method for awhile and it works fine.
