Question about ubuntu?

Im new in linux environment..

Im planning to install rathena on ubuntu with lamp server is it possible?

Can anyone provide me a guide on how?

lamp server is a pack of Apache Web Server, MySQL Server, and PHP web server or a kind of similar things like that right?

rAthena has nothing to do with "LAMP" but it has something to do with "MySQL" or "MariaDB" or other SQL engine.

just refer to rA's wiki. it's complete and reliable.

it would be easier to install all the programs seperately, configuration is simple(installs with basic usability anyway)

just

apt-get install apache

apt-get install php

apt-get install mysql

and that should install all the latest for you

that is just my suggestion you can install a precompiled, preconfigured server setup such as you want if you want. they all work.
