Custom Weapon

Question

Posted (edited)

Hi,

i'm trying to add a new weapon for Star Gladiator, the weapon works fine with any other job. My problem is the weapon spr doesnt show on Star Gladiator when he attacks... maybe cause he kicks... there's some way to change that? Make him attack like professor with the book?

(Sorry for my bad english.)

Here's what I did:

sprite \ Àΰ£Á· \ ±Ç¼º \

±Ç¼º_³²_20133.spr

±Ç¼º_³²_20133.act

Thanks advanced.

Hyoru.

I'm pretty sure more specific sprite editing is needed to make classes that don't normally animate with a weapon, do so. Did you edit the sprite to work (act files)? Or just attach the job to it?

It'd be like putting swords on a mage, it'd just look like they're punching everything unless you make entirely new sprites. I actually don't know which specific file to edit, but I wanted to appraise you of your roadblock.

yes, act files all normal. I know sometimes the weapon seems wrong with some jobs, but that i cant fix. I just need to see the weapon on Star Gladiator ):

Done! Well... not so much but i did :D

Thanks anyway.

It isn't possible to show a "Book" on Star Gladiators. Star Gladiator's sprites were designed to be shown as them "Kicking" when they're attacking rather than attacking with a "Book" sprite showing. Reading Star Gladiator's Storyline, you can see why.

If you want to make the book show, you'll have to change the Sprite and Act file of the Star Gladiator; mainly, for the sprite actually having his hand outwards (like he's holding a book) and then the .act file for the placement.
