Client stopped working after custom weapon

Hello rAthena :)

I started to do my own custom weapon and shield. First of all they appeared as unknown items. After that I changed the:

idnum2itemdesctable

idnum2itemdisplaynametable

idnum2itemresnametable

itemslotcounttable

(btw for the beginning I've just created 3 admin Items so I don't think num2itemdesctable and so on are important now.)

I get an error from my Client that it stopped working. I tried 2011-12-28 and 15-03-2011 both stopped working but with a clean converted grf file it works without an error. May you could give me a hint why?

I'm using 27000,27001,27002 as ID's and I've created a shooter,shield and spear and used the sprites from gold_lux, mirror_shield and a normal spear.

I'm using Windows 7 64-Bit. If you need more information just ask me! :)

BTW: What's about the directory of lua? it's data/luafiles/data ? That sounds very weird to me.. Could someone tell the correct dictionary for scr and data which I've recieve after extract 2012-04-18 Lub+src Files [Translated].rar ?

data/luafiles514/datainfo/accname.lua and accessoryid.lua or .lub

don't forget to set them there too.with the correct ViewID and sprite resource name. also resnametable.txt, the id2num or num.

Thanks for your reply, but do you really think the problem is accname.lua and accessoryid.lua? Because i think they are for Custom Headgears and not for weapons (I'll use original sprites).

And what's about the gravity error? Would it possible that the error is caused by lua files? atm i'm using 2012-04-18 Lub+src Files [Translated].

accessoryid.lua >> decode from "ViewID" in the item_db2.txt (server) that is sent to the client, into their radical name, which would be sent to:

accname.lua >> to locate the sprite's file name..

well, in my opinion, those 2 files do so..

ehh,, no, you're right. they are just for custom headgears.

and for visual reference, here is the name of a sprite from the DROP-sprite folder >> Ȳ±Ý¿ù°è¼ö

and here are two from the EQUIP-sprite folder >> ¿©_´ëÇü¸¶Á¦½ºÆ½°í¿ìÆ®2 and ³²_´ëÇü¸¶Á¦½ºÆ½°í¿ìÆ®2

see the difference? both have special characters in the begining and has _ before the sprite name.

check everything you have done. and if things still doesnt work.

about the gravity error, sorry, I lost my app to decode the GE. otherwise, it might be the weapon sprite too.

wait, you're using 2011 client? so, you must use the one that is compatible with your client date

Yes i'm using 2011 client but I'll test try 2012-Clients tommorow. I allready know what was my problem my text-editor caused the problem and disturbed the format. Know i've some issues with custom Headgears. I recieve Gravity errors when i want to equip them. The weird thing is that lua files and id2 files are 100% correct.

oh, so, what is the text editor you used? tell us so that others who got the same problem as you had can have the solution before they posted a new thread..
